Crisp amber malt is a kilned specialty malt with a strong flavor of biscuits and toasted grain and an amber-to-copper color. It is traditionally used in medium to dark English brown ales, mild ales and old ales. It has a dry flavor and is an excellent compliment to more bitter styles such as IPA’s.
