Medium toast French Oak chips offer a subtle and spicy oak character to beers, wines and ciders. It is roasted between 350°F and 375°F and contributes a silky texture.

Sanitize oak chips by steaming or mixing with a small amount of boiling water. Place the oak chips in a steeping bag and submerge in the liquid after fermentation has ceased. Flavor will develop up to 2 weeks. Remove the oak chips when the intended level of flavor is achieved.
