Briess Chocolate Malt is a US-grown 2-row roasted barley malt with deep brown color and rich character. It has a faint milk chocolate and cocoa character. It is slightly bitter, with notes of dark chocolate and coffee flavor and has a moderate roastiness. It can be used in Porters, Stouts, Brown Ales, Dunkels and any other dark beer. It can be used in higher percentages to emphasize a chocolate flavor or in very low percentages to simply adjust color.
