The Saaz variety is a member of the noble hops and is the classic ingredient of Bohemian Pilsners, Lagers and Wheat Beers. Saaz hops from the Czech Republic have a beautifully delicate yet spicy quality that is perfectly suited for equally delicate beers. They impart a zesty aroma, a spicy flavor and a mild bitterness that is mouth-watering. Although classically derived from the Czech Republic, Saaz hops have also been grown in Poland, Ukraine and the United States. Saaz hops are ideally suited for Pilsners, American Lagers and Belgian-style Ales.
