Fermentis Saflager S-189 originated from the Hürlimann brewery in Switzerland. It produces clean-tasting, drinkable beers including lagers, pilsners and more. It has a high attenuation and is highly flocculant producing very clear beers. Saflager S-189 ferments within a wide temperature range between 48.2° – 71.6°F (9° – 22°C) but ideally between 53.6° – 59°F (12° – 15°C).
